About Spires & Spokes

We're an Oxford-based, student-run initiative, riding bikes and teaching all along the UK. We are inspired by Spokes USA and started this endeavour at [orchard].

Our Mission

Spires & Spokes is an Oxford-based, non-profit, student-run initiative as part of an effort to rethink STEAM education, inspired by and working with Spokes USA. This year will be the first iteration!

This summer, Spires & Spokes is sending a team of 4-6 students on a cross-country bike ride starting at Oxford and traveling up the West Coast, ending at Aberdeen. Over about 30 days, our team will bike over 1000 kilometers and join in Learning Festivals in small towns and community centers across the United Kingdom.

Our goal is to encourage a love for learning in children and young adults. We want to build relationships while teaching, biking, and sharing our own passion for education and cycling across the United Kingdom.
